Configuring a Cisco SPA112/SPA122 ATA with 3CX
We have recently discussed the new Cisco SPA112 and SPA122 ATAs and how they are more than just a minor hardware refresh to the previous models. One of the most interesting enhancements is their FAX support which is unrivaled in any device we have ever tested here.
In this video we cover how to setup the SPA112 and SPA122 ATAs as extensions to a 3CX IP PBX system. All we need to do is to create a standard extension within 3CX and make sure we have the SIP password that 3CX generated for the extension. Next, you need to log into the ATA and use the new Quick Setup wizard to setup the extension. All you will need is the IP address of your 3CX system, the extension number, and the SIP password.
