3CX Training & Certification Recap – March 2017

Despite the weather forecast, brave attendees traveled to Niagara Falls, NY for 888VoIP’s 3CX Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Certification & Training events.  The training was open & free to all new or active 3CX partners, and was aimed at teaching pre-sales & technical support.  Upon completion of the training materials, a 3CX-certified engineer administered the exams, allowing attendees to achieve 3CX Certified Pro Status.
Day one commenced with coverage on basic 3CX topics & the administration of the first certification exam, and concluded with beginning coverage on intermediate concepts.  After the informational training session, attendees were encouraged to join the 888VoIP team for Welcome Reception cocktails & apps at the Bear’s Den lounge within the casino.
Basic & Intermediate topics that were covered included:

  • Installation of the 3CX client
  • Configuration of local desktop phones & firewalls
  • SIP Trunks
  • Extensions – Settings, Groups & Rights
  • Time-Based Scheduling

On day two, attendees joined the 888VoIP team to continue coverage on the intermediate topics.  Following this educational session, the intermediate exam was given.  The day wrapped up with advanced concepts, as well as the advanced exam.  This training was ideal for those looking for more detail on 3CX, as well as obtainment of the 3CX Certified Pro Status.  This training trumps other web-based training formats because it allowed for immediate clarification on difficult topics, as well as one-on-one time with an 888VoIP 3cx Certified Engineer, who was able to answer attendees’ questions.
Advanced topics that were covered included:
